The models from 20 to 26 feet are manufactured to be propelled by an outboard motor. With their carefully designed bows, the Freighters cut the waves and avoids shaking. It's a shallow draft boat compared to the aluminum or fiberglass canoes. This is due to its high degree of buoyancy, its lightness and its form. It is very much appreciated as a river boat for fishing salmon, where the water flow is often strong and low. Its capacity of loading is very large compared to its weight. As example, for a boat of 20 feet weighing 325 lb., its capacity of a safe loading will be approximately 2500 lb.
